What's happening in my world…
Well, I fired up, for the first, my “Big Green Egg” cooker that my parents gave me for Christmas.
We smoked two chickens. They turned out very good.
We used a pizza baking stone to give more indirect heating. Next time, I will be using some Apple wood from a friends fallen tree.
Katie Beth and I made play dough today. She is having a good time mixing the flour and salt.
No Cook Play Dough Instructions:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup water
Mix well and then divide in parts. Add food coloring to each part to make the colors that you want.
Typically, the recipe can be divided to make two different colors of play dough equal to the typically play dough can found at the store.
Karen and Katie Beth are still having a great time at the beach.
Today, Katie Beth is finding stuff on the beach. You can see her showing them to Allison Tofflemire.
Katie Beth is getting things ready on the beach.
The weather is great with a temperature around 69°F.
Karen and Katie Beth are heading south to Gulf Shores, Alabama with Allison Tofflemire for a visit with Larry and Pat Veeder.
Katie Beth is getting exciting about the beach. I am sure that she will want to get in the water even though the water temperature is around 55°F. Yikes! But, the weather forecast looks to be warm with temperatures in the high 60’s and low 70’s.
Allison and Karen were planning the details last night.
They should have a great time.
Katie Beth is having a great time. The sucking sound of the mud is great.
Katie Beth height is just right for the tunnels.
And, I even have five bars of AT&T signal. Ha!
You can give a child a creek and rocks and they will have fun for hours.
Today was extra special, because other children were playing at the creek.
We are out hiking through the woods near our house.
Katie Beth is having a great time limbing over logs and collecting leaves for her mommy.
We are about to start turning over logs to look and see.
Katie Beth is having a blast in this freezing cold and rain.
They say it is 46°F, but they lie!
Karen got out our drug store quality stethoscope and Katie Beth has been playing doctor or veterinary all day.
Katie Beth has had each of us laydown so she hear our hearts and any other internal sounds. She got to hear my mummy growl.
Our cat has been a good sport, too.
