Katie Beth has this bicycling figured out. We need to work on endurance so we can go on family rides.
Secret Hideout
Sci-Quest Grand Reopening
Sci-Quest had a grand reopening today, which included some activities such as building a parachute out of a coffee filter.
Katie Beth had fun making things out of gumdrops and toothpicks. The moon bounce was fun of course.
Lunch with Dad
Katie Beth and I are spending the whole day together so we decided to have lunch at Mellow Mushroom. She drew Mel saying “You’re so Mellow.”
Lowe’s Workshop Birdhouse
It is time to hang bird houses so what better time to build one. Katie Beth got the build and paint a new bird house featuring a Lowe’s front door.
I don’t know what Katie Beth like best the building or painting as Lowe’s doesn’t ever include painting during their workshops. Painting was our extra step at home.
You can see the photos here.
Home Deposit Workshop Trojan Horse
Katie Beth learned about a bit about a Trojan Horse and got to build a Trojan Horse Bank. The craft was different in that it included stickers to give it to look of a Trojan Horse.
I love how Katie Beth brings her tool box, with her tools, built during a previous workshop.

Lowe’s Claw Game Workshop
Today, Katie Beth got to make a really cool wood craft at Lowe’s. It is a Claw Game with little prizes for the inside and an actual claw to catch them.
You can see more photos here, but I missed capturing the finally built Claw Game in action. The username and password are “friends” and “photos”.
Non-uniform School Photo
We were very happy with this year’s Non-uniform School Photo. We think Katie Beth is aware of her missing teeth in her smile so she hides them in photos.
Katie Beth picked out her outfit.
Valentine’s Day
The ladies enjoyed Valentine’s Day.
You can see all of the photos here.
Snow Play
Well, the snow has continued and Karen is excited, but because I am not going into work. We got serious and pulled out all of the sleds and toboggan. After we had a couple practice runs on the driveway, Katie Beth was ready to the neighborhood hill.
But, if the toboggan got too fast, Katie Beth still wanted to brake with her hands. It was nice meeting some neighbors and pulling kids on the sleds and toboggan.
The day ended in the hot tub.
