Hanging Out in Colorado Springs

We are settling into our long stay in Colorado Springs. I even picked up a microwave from a thrift store for 10 bucks, because this hotel doesn’t have room microwaves. Our room refrigerator is fill with supplies.

I hope that we have a good time on this trip.

Tickets Purchased, Rooms Booked, and Plans Made

We are heading back to Colorado Springs for my work for two more trips during the next months. I am looking forward to it. (Karen may or may not by the end of it all.)

But, we are still wanting to handle the needs from the last trip like having a highchair and microwave in the room for Karen to use.

Our first trip will be via airplane and the second will be via train. Weee!

Taking A Break

Taking A BreakIt is tough playing so hard. Katie Beth was having a blast on all of the playground equipment during the Monte Sano Art Show. She went down the slides all by herself including climbing up to the slide and going down.

Monte Sano Art Show and Jam Session

Monte Sano Art Show and Jam SessionKatie Beth Sits in with the Band

Katie Beth joined in with a band of drummers at Monte Sano Art Show. She had been dancing early on in the session. In this picture, she is just sitting and studying the instrument in front of her, which I believe is a didjeridu.

We go ever year and this year Katie Beth could jam with the band. She enjoyed walking around in the dirt, too.

Double Header Baseball

Well, the rain has finally stopped in Huntsville, Alabama so we are heading out for baseball tonight.

Last night’s game got rained out, which means we get a double header tonight starting at 5:05PM. Why 5:05 instead of 5:00PM? I don’t know, but the Huntsville Stars have always started games at 5 minute past the hour. It could be due to the games being aired on the radio.

Tonight and tomorrow night are the last in town games for this season. We have enjoyed the season with our little Katie Beth, but good things must come to an end. And, our baby needs to stop going to bed around 10:00PM.

We hope to win season tickets during tomorrow’s game. They will be drawing from all the tickets turned in throughout the season for a life time pass. And, they will be drawing for four season tickets based on people who donated to a charity.

Point Mallard Water Park

Fun at Point Mallard Water ParkWe went to Point Mallard today and we had a great time in the wave pool and water works for children. The water in the wave pool was cold, but you got use to it after awhile. As you can see in the picture, Katie Beth was having fun.

She enjoyed the river, too. The idea of water, sand, and sticks were like heaven to her. We had to pick her up just to get her to go for lunch.

The water works area was enjoyable, but the equipment needs to worked on to improve it.
