The sunrise was just wonderful this morning on the way into work.
Normally, I would be in the office prior to the sunrise, but today I got to see it come up for a bit.
Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights
We had a great time viewing the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. It is always amazing to see them.
Katie Beth became focused on finding hidden Mickeys, which were all over the place.
Heading to the Most Wonderful Place in Earth
We have never driven to Walt Disney World so this is a first for us.
We get to visit Katie Beth’s Aunt Sharon awhile on our way down.
These annual passes sure are wonderful!
My Mother’s 75th Birthday
We celebrated my mother’s 75th birthday today by going out to dinner at Shogun Japanese Steakhouse. Everyone enjoyed dinner, but as always, you go home with leftovers.
Ugliest Christmas Outfit
While on traveling to Colorado Springs, I happened to be in town during Bristol Brewing Company’s Christmas Ale release party, which included an Ugly Christmas Outfit contest.
I hit up the local thrift stores for ugly Christmas sweaters, but I had no luck. So, plan B was to make something. I found a tacky tree skirt and made a shirt and shorts for the party. The hotel front desk was able provide me a bunch of hotel sewing kits and a good pair of scissors. It took me a little over an hour and half to make them. I was hoping for pants, but it was enough work just getting a shirt and shorts. Also, I had already used up 3 or 4 sewing kits. I couldn’t see asking for even more kits.
The brewing staff loved the outfit. I won what they called “Free Beer for a Year”, which is actually just 24 growler fills and a growler bottle. And, a bomber of the Bristol Christmas Ale and pint glass with a Laughing Lab logo.
UAH Duck Pond
The weather was wonderful so we went to the UAH Duck Pond to feed the ducks, which are actually mainly geese.
They went crazy when they saw the amount of food that we brought with us.
Galaxy of Lights Walk Through with Lucy
Karen, Katie Beth, and Lucy walked the Galaxy of Lights tonight. Katie Beth got to visit Santa Claus before going on the walking tour. The evening was wonderful and they got a bit of exercise, but the cookies and hot chocolate didn’t hurt.
Walt Disney World Fall 2012 Trip
Knoxville Market House Square
Katie Beth had a great time playing in the square with the other children as we waited for our table.
The weather was great and the food was great.
Redstone MWR Oktoberfest
We are having a blast. Katie Beth is in her element! She was going from ride to ride. She had a great time dancing and play while listening to the band.
As for me, the second spinning ride did me in completely. I had to sit down for quite awhile before taking to the rides again.
Karen had a wonderful time relaxing.
