Katie Beth Turned 5

Pirate Birthday CakeTime is flying by quickly. Katie Beth turned 5 today. We had the family in town this past weekend to celebrate and this next weekend we will have some of Katie Beth friends over to celebrate some more.

Mother’s Day

Karen enjoyed her Mother’s Day.

Katie Beth made Karen a stepping stone with a hand print decorated with stars and moons. Katie Beth painted a card for her grandmother and mother with flowers on the front and all sorts of things on the inside.

In school, Katie Beth made Karen a card in Spanish class. In religious education class at church, Katie Beth made Karen a card with a mesh bath sponge as the head of a flower on the card. It has very cute. Godmomma Allison even took Katie Beth shopping for a card for Karen. So, Karen received a lot of cards this year.

We had my parent’s over for lunch and Katie Beth had fun giving grandmother and Karen their cards. She explained all of the drawings to them.

I had been worried about making Karen’s day just right. She said it had been wonderful at the end of the day.

Panoply Art

Katie Beth is having a blast maximizing the amount of paint on the page.

We have come back for a late even walk through Panoply.

Panoply Art

We are having a great time. Katie Beth is wearing the paint. I am enjoying the crafts this year. The ti-shirt cape is cool.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Katie Beth is ready for the St. Patrick’s Day parade to start. She has already made some friends. We are standing in front of Karen and my old hang out the Kaffee Klatsch.

The weather is wonderful, but maybe a little too warm.

Cookies and Milk

Katie Beth is very excited about Christmas. She is worried about Santa Cluas, too. She has just finished placing out a plate of gingerbread cookies and a jar of milk, but she wanted to clean the fireplace before he arrives.

Christmas Upon Us

We are getting ready for Christmas. The tree is up. I have been traveling, but Katie Beth and Karen have been working hard to get things in order.

It won’t be long and Christmas day will be on us.

What a 4th of July!

We started by panning for gold. I know I saw sparkles in my pan, but we had to get to hiking Helen Hunt Falls.

But, it all ended with the police ordering a forced evacuation of the area due a forest fire. And, the car wouldn’t start so a park range drove us to the Golden Bee.

Over head, we have seen fire retardant planes flying.

Our Hertz agents don’t know how to get us another rental car without getting their car back. We explained where their car was and they are still wondering what to do.

Well, we continue relax at the Golden Bee. Some of us are really relaxing.SPRINTGPS_Hiking_2011-07-04_18-53
