Snowman

SnowmanKaren made a snowman on our deck with the snow we got today. The snow was very dry so it took a lot of work to make the balls. Yes, those are vegetables for the hair, eyes, nose, and mouth. Greenbeans, corn and carrots are easy to work with if you use a baby fork to poke holes in the snow first.

Katie Beth had great fun with the snowman, but she kept wanting to step on Karen’s snow balls.

I tried to teach Katie Beth how to make snow-angels. Karen captured it on video, which looks funny. Karen is editing the video now so I hope to get something on the web site.

Toy Catalog

Target's Toy CatalogSomeone was learned what a toy catalog is.

Katie Beth had been looking at me flip through the newspaper in the front seat of Karen’s car on the way home from church.  She wanted some of the paper so I gave her the Target’s Christmas Toy Catalog flyer, which she proceed to read like a magazine.

It was cute.  I looked over at her to find her holding the catalog up as she looked over the pages.  I tried to snap a picture, but I couldn’t get the photo. She saw me and put the catalog down, but I did capture this picture.

Trick-or-Treating

Trick-or-TreatingKatie Beth had a wonderful time. We went just north of Platte Avenue in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The area had lots of children, which Katie Beth enjoyed seeing. We even went in a haunted house.
